FAQ

What is Team Americano in badminton?

It's Wingman's classic name: fixed doubles pairs that stay together for an entire session while rotating through every other pair as opponents, with the pair's combined points deciding the standings.

How many pairs do I need for Wingman?

At least 2 fixed pairs (4 players), scaling up to 50 pairs (100 players). Player counts are always even.

Do teams stay together all night in Wingman?

Yes, by default: partners are set before the first round and stay fixed while play continues. The organizer can still re-pair the field mid-session through a re-balance, if needed.

What scoring format does Wingman use by default?

Official 21 by default (single game, win by 2, capped at 30). A best-of-3 to 15 works well for smaller fields of 4 pairs or fewer, giving a shorter game more room to matter.

How does Wingman award league points?

A win pays your pair 2 points on the standings, 0 for a loss. Beat a pair rated higher than yours and it pays 3 points instead of 2 — no penalty for beating a lower-rated pair.

Can I add or remove players mid-session in Wingman?

Yes. The organizer re-pairs the field from the party page: future rounds redraw against the new pairing, while every round already played keeps its result.
